Songs as diverse of "Chain Gang" and "What a Wonderful World" bring back my youth vividly. If Sam Cooke had lived longer, there is little doubt that his genius would have placed him in the stratosphere iof pop stardom. I recommend this recording highly. Loved his singing then, thoroughly enjoy it now. or perhaps he made it there, anyway, in his short lifetime. This collection is a tribute to his unique, endearing singing style.
I love to put it on and let it play all the way through. It is chocked full of great music. I got this disc and didn't realize how many tunes Sam cooke really had. This is an awesome disk.
I was thrilled that I was able to find this on Amazon. I own a lot of Sam Cooke music and I admit there may be a song or two that I skip over, but it's hard to resist the sound of Sam's legendary voice. The CD is new and arrived in the amount of time stated, and I got it at a great price. I knew what I wanted.one song that was hard to find. It turns out that I like the entire CD.not at all surprising considering this is Sam Cooke.
OK, but nothing special. Not the best Sam Cooke work that I have purchased.
